Taurus, founded in 1939 amid Brazil's industrialization push, began as a tool manufacturer in São Leopoldo. By 1942, it transitioned to producing its iconic revolvers, later expanding with a new factory in 1950 and further growth in the 60s and 70s. International expansion commenced in 1981 with the establishment of Taurus International in Miami, leading to global recognition and dominance in the arms industry. Today, with advanced manufacturing facilities in Brazil and the USA, Taurus continues to innovate, producing a weapon every 15 seconds, supported by modern technology and processes.
